Test Automation & Validation Engineer
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Test Automation and Validation Engineer to join the V&I department within a company in the aviation sector. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automating test processes and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration, test and validation of complex systems and subsystems, enhancing overall system reliability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Validation
- Develop and execute validation plans, test cases, and procedures for systems and subsystems including connected solutions (IoT), advanced sensors and machine vision (camera)

Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to streamline validation processes and improve efficiency.
Documentation
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and integration guides.
Data analysis
- Analyze the collected data from different test cases to conclude and provide hints for improvement
Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D and V&I teams to ensure requirements are met throughout the product lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Electronics, Robotics, or Computer Science.
Experience
- 3+ years of related experience in HW/SW or embedded systems or a related engineering discipline.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in scripting in Python
- Hands-on experience with one of automation frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Selenium, or Robot Framework…).
- Proficiency in Linux Environment: Comfort with the command line (Bash/Zsh), package management (apt, pip), and remote access (SSH), interacting with GPIO& I2C/SPI
- Experience with testing software that interacts with physical hardware (sensors, power supplies, or regulators, actuators…)
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols like Modbus, CAN bus, or Ethernet
- Deep understanding of hardware-software system integration
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment and measurement devices
Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
- Experience in regulated industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace, and medical devices).
- Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC) and electrical and functional safety, especially aviation (ICAO, FAA etc.)
- Related experience in industrial test automation
- Experience with LabVIEW/NI Ecosystem: National Instruments hardware for data acquisition (or equivalent)
- Experience in SQL & Data Visualization: querying databases and building simple dashboards in Databricks is an advantage.
- Exposure to aviation or automotive test and validation environment
