Transformation Associate
Contract Type:  Permanent
Job Location:  Sweden - Malmö

Transformation Associate 

Mission

Drive global transformation and support selected cost reduction, efficiency, and performance improvement initiatives in partnership with initiative owners.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Transformation:
    Assist the COO/CTO & VP Group Transformation in running operational transformation programs, tracking initiatives, and measuring associated value (e.g., cost savings, project prioritization, and management).
  • Stakeholder Support:
    Provide support to Workstream Leaders and Initiative Owners, including coaching, problem-solving, and fast-tracking solutions to remove bottlenecks.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    Assist with report creation, analysis, and own the initiative tracking tool and updates.
  • Cross-functional Communication:
    Synthesize complex, cross-functional insights for diverse audiences, from plant managers to C-suite executives.
  • Leadership Alignment:
    Facilitate alignment across the global leadership team (~50 senior leaders) spanning business lines, regions, and functions.
  • Target Setting & Delivery:
    Coach initiative owners to set ambitious yet achievable targets and accelerate delivery by removing roadblocks.
  • Impact Tracking:
    Track and validate the impact of transformation initiatives in collaboration with Finance.
  • Executive Updates:
    Prepare and deliver regular updates on transformation progress and impact to ExCo; prepare business cases to support decision-making.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis:
    Conduct ad hoc analyses as requested, proactively searching for opportunities to deliver additional impact and insights to CTO/COO and ExCom members.
  • Resource & Risk Management:
    Assist in resolving resource allocation, project management, and risk issues; help prepare initiatives for review and approval.

 

Key Relationships / Stakeholders

  • Reporting Line:
    Reports to the VP Group Transformation; works closely with Workstream Leaders and Initiative Owners.
  • Key Stakeholders:
    • ExCo (CEO, COO, CFO, CTO, EVPs)
    • Global Leadership Team (GLT): ~50 senior leaders across business lines, regions, group functions, managers, and senior leaders

 

Business Skills

  • Strong conceptual problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of operations (supply chain, purchasing, manufacturing)
  • Ability to adapt measures to fit business size and processes
  • Skilled at organizing and communicating complex information for diverse audiences
  • Experience developing, documenting, and operationalizing new processes
  • Strong business acumen to evaluate initiatives and implementation risks
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and derive data-driven insights
  • PMO skills to drive transformation globally

 

Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in operations leadership, transformation office, or strategic PMO roles
      or
    • 1–2 years in top-tier management consulting with an operations/transformation focus
  • Education:
    • Master’s degree required
    • MBA is a plus

 

IT Skills / System Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP/S4 Hana is a plus

 

Languages

  • English (required)
  • French, Dutch, or German (nice to have)

 

Competencies

  • Strong analytical thinker with advanced Excel modeling and dashboarding skills (e.g., Power BI)
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas and data analysis in clear, management-level PowerPoint slides
  • Natural coordinator, able to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Comfortable challenging senior leaders respectfully and driving accountability
  • Thrives in ambiguity and can make progress without perfect information
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills (oral, written, and listening)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and communicate action plans to cross-functional teams
  • Ability to interact directly with senior members of the organization
  • Willingness to travel up to 15–20% of the time
