As part of a globally distributed engineering organisation, the Hyderabad Labs work closely with teams across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, contributing directly to solutions deployed at airports worldwide. 

THE OPPORTUNITY 

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our dynamic Global IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our Windows physical and virtual server environments, both on-premises and in the cloud. This role requires expertise in systems administration, patch management, Azure, HyperV, VMware, Active Directory, IT ticket resolution, V 2 V migrations, documentation and IT auditing. 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Systems Administration & Maintenance 

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Windows-based servers and related infrastructure. 

• Administer and troubleshoot HyperV and VMware virtual environments. 

• Oversee and optimize cloud environments, primarily Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services). 

• Patching & Security 

• Coordinate and execute regular patch management for operating systems, virtual hosts, and applications. 

• Ensure all systems comply with security policies and best practices. 

• Active Directory & Identity Management 

• Administer Active Directory (user/group management, GPOs, OU management, replication, etc.). 

• Documentation 

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, topology diagrams, and recovery plans. 

• Ensure all changes and incidents are properly documented in accordance with ITIL standards. 

• IT Tickets & Support 

• Respond to, investigate, and resolve escalated IT tickets from the helpdesk and other IT staff. 

• Provide mentoring and technical support to junior administrators and service desk analysts. 

• Projects & Implementation 

• Lead and participate in IT projects (system upgrades, migrations, new deployments, integrations, IT Infrastructure and business application projects etc.). 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions on time and within scope. 

• Auditing & Compliance 

• Conduct regular audits of system access, configuration, and compliance with regulatory standards. 

• Conduct regular audits of backups and servers. 

• Reporting 

• Creation of Azure and BI Reports

We’re Looking for Someone With:  

• Strong expertise in Windows Server, HyperV, VMware vSphere/ESXi, and Azure. 

• Proven experience with patching tools (WSUS, SCCM, or similar). 

• Proficient in Active Directory and Group Policy management. 

• Solid understanding of IT security and compliance frameworks. 

• Experience handling IT projects from conception to completion. 

• Excellent documentation and communication skills. 

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities. 

• Familiarity with IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, or similar). 

Preferred Qualifications 

• 5+ years of experience in systems administration in an enterprise environment. 

• Experience supporting IT audits and compliance initiatives. 

• Experience with Azure, Active directory, VMWare and HyperV. 

• Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python). 

Education/Certifications: 

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information systems or related field 

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional, CompTIA Security+, ITIL Foundation).
