The opportunity…

We are seeking a Project Manager based in Slough United Kingdom, to be part of a global journey with ADB SAFEGATE

You will support the management of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. They will be an integral part of our team by being a great communicator, working effectively with others, and meeting scheduled task completion dates. 

 

You will make an impact by:

 

  • Working with cross-functional teams to facilitate project execution and manage customer deliverables. Collaborate between customers, operations, supply chain, and engineering to develop an overall project plan that best supports our customer expectations.
  • Identify issues that may affect the planned results and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Serving as a supporting customer point of contact during post-contract award through to delivery. This includes answering questions and providing updates on delivery, and product questions while building strong working relationships for future business growth.

As a Project Manager, you plan and support the deployment of solutions & services that make a lasting contribution to airport performance. In this position, your contacts will include customers, end airports, Sub-contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • As a Project Manager you shall be a key stakeholder within our team handling projects and service work. You participate from the start, together with functional teams, in the initial handover meetings to gain an understanding of the projects, their scope and requirements. The role will involve inputting required hardware orders, consulting with the supply chain, and following the progress of assigned project orders within our ERP systems; as well as supporting the administrative requirements of the department.
  • If you have knowledge of project financial forecasting & reporting.

 

Tasks and duties:

 

  • Maintaining customer records and coordinating required documents, submittals, past dues, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain active security clearances as required.
  • Support the sales team in the pre-sales stage through supporting management of client portals / submittal documentation.
  • Define and manage your own deadlines commitments.
  • Operate CRM systems; Database software; Internet software; Order Processing systems (SAP) and Microsoft office suite.
  • Manage the document control within internal UK SharePoint site.
  • Responsible for coordinating the efforts of team members 3rd party contractors to deliver projects according to plan.
  • Handle and manage customer claims.
  • Support the HSE requirements of the UK Branch (toolbox talk, training matrix, site paperwork, and renewals of accreditations.
  • Engage with wider business functional team members (i.e. finance, service techs, supply chain, contractors, and system engineering) to obtain data for weekly internal compliance monitoring.
  • Support updating project and sales templates / presentation materials within our internal SharePoint site.
  • Develop and maintain project performance database that tracks overall progress and achievement of milestones.
  • Coordinate and manage customer projects, ensuring all project requirements are met according to contractual conditions and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate and monitor all activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maximize profit by identifying cost reduction opportunities and revenue increase possibilities within the project.
  • Analyse and resolve issues to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity in a stressful environment.
  • Foster a diverse work environment and work well in a team.
  • Report to the Project Director monthly, providing details about implemented activities, including financial and estimates for successful project completion.
  • Assign and monitor resources effectively to boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output.
  • Conducting site surveys.

 

Skills and Competences:

 

  • Ability to communicate results, issues status effectively (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Preferred experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office packages & project management software.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and experience in implementing safe systems of work including Risk & Method statements.
  • English proficiency is necessary.
  • Ability to interpret common product information such as equipment datasheets.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and initiatives of moderate complexity.
  • 5 years of experience in an engineering project delivery environment, with at least 2-3 years in a Project Manager capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar associated qualification in a relevant  field – Project Management Certification is a plus.
  • Experience in claim management.
  • Detailed knowledge of Airport Business in general and/or Airfield/Gate Business is a plus.
  • Experience in Bid & Estimation management is a plus.
  • Experience in networking/servers is a plus
  • Full UK driving licence.

 

Job specificities

 

  • Your primary location will be based from our Langley, Slough UK Office with mixed with a balance of remote working.
  • Some travel and overnight stays may be required for site meetings.
  • Some overseas travel as required to our HQ located within Brussels, Belgium for internal trainings.
