Mechanical Development Engineer – Power Electronics & Airfield Lighting Solutions (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design enclosures for stand-alone applications as well as rack systems.
• Design and optimize cooling systems, including heat sink design, air-flow routing in close collaboration with the power electronics development team.
• Integrate mechanical components into overall product concepts to ensure optimum functionality and reliability.
• Create 3D models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials.
• Perform simulations and prototype testing to validate designs.
• Work closely with the electronics and mechanical development as well as production teams to resolve practical implementation issues.
• Continuously improving existing products in terms of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.

Your Profile:

• Master Engineer or equivalent by experience.
• Several years of professional experience in mechanical development, ideally in the field of power   electronics or power supplies.
• Solid knowledge of CAD systems, especially SolidWorks and PDM.
• Experience in the design and optimization of enclosures and cooling systems is a plus.
• Analytical and solution-oriented mindset with strong team spirit.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
