The opportunity

ADB SAFEGATE is a global leader in providing smart solutions for airports, enabling efficient aircraft handling from approach to departure. Our offerings include approach, runway and taxiway lighting, tower-based traffic control systems, and intelligent gate and docking automation. We are seeking a Junior AP Specialist who can handle accounts payable (AP) transactions promptly and accurately, take proactive responsibility for related tasks, and continuously improve operational efficiency and service quality.

You will make an impact by….

• Support end-to-end Accounts Payable activities, including invoice validation, routing, posting and follow-up in SAP PCE / VIM.

• Review and investigate invoice exceptions, including PO and invoice mismatches, missing information and other posting issues.

• Follow up directly with buyers and relevant stakeholders to resolve invoice issues and ensure timely processing.

• Monitor outstanding, blocked and unresolved invoices and ensure appropriate follow-up within agreed timelines.

• Support AP activities across assigned entities, including Belgium and the U.S., and provide backup support to other regions when required.

• Ensure accurate and timely invoice posting in accordance with accounting policies, internal controls and agreed SLA.

• Support month-end and year-end activities related to Accounts Payable as required.

• Identify recurring invoice and process issues and escalate root causes for further improvement.

• Perform other AP-related duties as assigned.

Education

• Degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 1 Year of working experience in audit / accounting field.
• Professional qualification from recognized body (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW etc) is an added advantage..

IT-skills

• MS Excel
• MS Office
• MS Outlook
• SAP/S4H is highly recommended

Business Skill

• Appropriate qualification in Accounting or Finance
• Strong in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Able to meet competing deadlines by prioritizing work
• Good team player with strong work ethics
• Able to work independently and thrive under minimum supervision 
• Able to multitask
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Able to take initiative
• Accountable
• Integrity/Ethics

Experience

• Minimum 1 years of experience in AP or General Accounting
• Construction, Contract / Project Work industry experience preferred, but not essential
• Experience in MNC exposure is an added advantage
• Have good knowledge and grip accounting policy (IFRS).

Languages

• Fluent in English is mandatory
• Malay and Mandarin are an advantage

Competencies

This would be a plus but not a must!

• Other regional languages are an added advantage
