We are establishing ADB SAFEGATE LABS in Hyderabad, our newest extension of global engineering capabilities. The Labs focus on building and evolving digital platforms, data-driven services, and AI-enabled solutions that support airport operations across Airfield, Apron, Tower, and Weather domains. 

As part of a globally distributed engineering organisation, the Hyderabad Labs work closely with teams across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, contributing directly to solutions deployed at airports worldwide. 

 

THE OPPORTUNITY 

Be part of our founding engineering team in Hyderabad. 

You'll be an integral member of a dynamic team developing pioneering software that powers the aviation industry's most critical operations. Your expertise will drive advancements in safety, efficiency, and sustainability, transforming how airports function worldwide. 

You'll work on: 

  • Building features for next-generation airport management systems 

  • Collaborating with global teams in Sweden and Austria 

  • Contributing to solutions used by major international airports 

  • Shaping products and roadmaps that directly impact global aviation 

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

Full Stack Development 

  • Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Angular (frontend) and NestJS/Node.js (backend) 

  • Implement new features and enhancements across the full stack 

  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices 

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges 

Microservices & Cloud 

  • Develop and maintain microservices architecture using Docker and Kubernetes 

  • Work with message queues (RabbitMQ) and databases (PostgreSQL) 

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps 

Collaboration & Agile 

  • Collaborate daily with local team members and colleagues in Europe 

  • Participate in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives) 

  • Work closely with product owners to clarify requirements and align priorities 

  • Share knowledge and document technical decisions 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and practices 

 

We’re Looking for Someone With:  

  • 5-7 years of professional software development experience  

  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular (or similar frameworks like React, Vue)  

  • Solid backend development experience with NestJS, Node.js (or frameworks like .NET, Spring Boot)  

  • Experience with microservices architecture using Docker, Kubernetes  

  • Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (or other relational databases)  

  • Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) or event-driven architectures  

  • Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation  

  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD methodologies and processes  

  • Proficiency with collaboration tools: Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Git 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Background in aviation, transportation, or mission-critical systems 

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks  

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices (Terraform, ARM templates) 

  • Experience with application monitoring and observability tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana) 

  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud services (App Services, Functions, AKS, Service Bus) 

  • Understanding of web application security and performance optimization 

  • Contributions to open-source projects or active tech community participation 

  • Experience working with distributed teams across time zon 

 

Education: 

  • B.Tech/B.E. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or related field  

  • M.Tech/MS is a plus  

  • Equivalent experience with strong technical foundation considered
