The Opportunity
The Financial Controller acts as Controller to all the current and upcoming project reporting and planning. The candidate will be working closely with the Finance Director, Project Managers and all the sales colleagues across the South East Asia region, to support the region in the execution of the plan to deliver expected short and midterm results. The candidate reports to the Local Head of Finance Asia & Group Controlling Director and works in strong alignment with the Group to deliver just in time update of the monthly results, sales margin analysis, forecast, budget and ad hoc analysis.
You will make an impact by….
- Support the regional team by understanding the regional performance, by preparing appropriate analysis to support the decision process and by preparing a comprehensive budget and a monthly R&O (Risk & Opps).
- Support the regional team in the preparation of the Monthly Business Review.
- Collaborate in the monthly closing activities with the Regional Head of Finance / Regional Finance Manager ensuring accuracy (POC Accounting, P&L, Balance sheet and Cash flow) and understanding of the numbers.
- Work closely with the Project Managers during forecasting of the project costs and revenues (forecast exercise is done on monthly base).
- Participate actively in the management of the projects: cost reduction plan for the project in case of red KPIs, cost rationalization.
- Help review of all significant project/business cases, contracts, tenders in the region.
- Ensure reliability of any IT tools implementation and or improvements (S4, PRT tool, etc). Improve automation of all reporting and format of reporting
- Work in collaborative way with different department within the financial function (legal, Accounting, Consolidation, Treasury) to make sure properly information is shared across the organization.
- Ensure Group controlling procedures and processes are applied in the region.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of financial processes and efficient use of the ERP system within the region.
- Help coordination of budget and forecasts reporting.
- Responsible for audit process for Asia region (HK, TW, MY and SG) particularly for POC, revenue (Project and Product) , CIE BIE and any project related accruals.
- Support any Group audit.
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reports as required.
The talent we want to inspire has...
- Business School or Accounting background (big 4 experience preferred) including a nationally recognized professional accounting qualification
- Min 3 years’ experience in a multinational company
- Internal/External Audit experience with extensive investigative analytical experience
- Strong Knowledge of IFRS 9, 15 and 16
- Advanced skills in Excel
- Knowledge of SAP S4Hana is an asset
- Strong reliability and accuracy
- Excellent organization and punctuality / strict respect of deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and coordinate in a multicultural environment
- Proactivity and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Very good synthesis skills
