The Opportunity

Help shape the next generation of airfield hardware for global airport markets. ADB SAFEGATE is seeking a hands-on Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, development, launch, lifecycle performance, and continuous improvement of products used by airports around the world. This role is ideal for a technically minded product professional who combines market and customer insight with sound business judgement, translates needs into clear priorities and requirements, and leads cross-functional teams toward successful product and business outcomes.


You will be accountable for assigned products across the full lifecycle, with a focus on Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) hardware, airfield signs, isolation transformers, Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPIs), and related products for global markets, with particular attention to FAA requirements and the needs of the Americas market. You will define product direction and priorities, make informed trade-offs, and partner closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Service to deliver customer value and achieve business objectives.

 

You will make an impact by....

  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and development priorities
    •    Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, positioning, and roadmap for assigned product lines.
    •    Use customer, market, competitive, regulatory, service, and business insights to identify opportunities and translate them into clear product priorities and requirements.
    •    Own prioritization and scope decisions, approve product trade-offs, and lead product readiness and market launch activities.
    •    Maintain the product business case and roadmap, monitor key risks and dependencies, and drive timely decisions across stakeholders.
    •    Communicate product direction, roadmap, performance, and key decisions to commercial, technical, and leadership stakeholders.

  • Own product lifecycle and portfolio performance
    •    Own the commercial and operational performance of assigned product lines and maintain accurate lifecycle documentation.
    •    Decide and coordinate product changes, certification impacts, obsolescence actions, investment priorities, and product transitions.
    •    Evaluate and prioritize product enhancements, quality improvements, cost reductions, supply continuity actions, and lifecycle investments based on customer and business value.
    •    Own phase-in and phase-out decisions and plans for new, updated, and legacy products, including customer and business impact.

  • Represent global customer needs, with an Americas market focus
    •    Act as the accountable product representative for global Sales, Service, and regional teams, with close support for the Americas.
    •    Build structured customer and market insight by engaging airports, consultants, contractors, distributors, competitors, and internal stakeholders across regions.
    •    Represent the product in strategic customer discussions, site visits, product demonstrations, and industry events.
    •    Provide product positioning, value propositions, roadmap guidance, pricing input, and technical-commercial support for priority customer opportunities.

  • Drive product performance and continuous improvement
    •    Set priorities with Quality, Service, Operations, and Engineering for field issue resolution based on safety, customer, commercial, and lifecycle impact.
    •    Ensure corrective actions, product improvements, and lessons learned are incorporated into the roadmap and lifecycle plan.
    •    Monitor product KPIs, recurring issues, reliability trends, financial performance, market feedback, and customer outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
    •    Use field and performance data to make evidence-based roadmap, investment, and phase-out decisions.

  • Own product-level compliance and certification priorities
    •    Define product-level compliance and certification priorities related to FAA requirements, ICAO standards, and other applicable regional and international industry requirements.
    •    Work with Engineering and certification teams to plan qualification, documentation, approvals, and market access activities.
    •    Ensure product changes and roadmap decisions are assessed for regulatory, commercial, lifecycle, and customer impact.

 

The talent we inspire has....

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in product development, product management, engineering, application engineering, technical support, or a related role.
  • Experience owning or managing hardware products across strategy, development, launch, growth, sustaining, and phase-out phases.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with engineering and operational teams.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams through influence, making product trade-offs, and moving multiple priorities toward measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to combine customer needs, market evidence, financial considerations, and technical constraints into clear product decisions and actionable requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, and a collaborative working style.
  • Willingness to travel internationally, up to 30%.

 

A plus but not a must....

  • Experience in aviation, airport infrastructure, airfield lighting, electrical infrastructure, or industrial equipment.
  • Familiarity with FAA specifications, airport operations, or regulated hardware products.
  • Experience owning new product introduction (NPI), business cases, roadmaps, product change, or stage-gate processes.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, supply chain, quality, certification, or field service environments.
  • Experience with airfield signs, transformers, PAPIs, lighting fixtures, or related electrical products.
