The Opportunity
The Assistant Technician performs a variety of corrective and preventive maintenance and electrical activities to repair and maintain the AVDGS, Aipron, the GPU’s and other systems at King Fahd International Airport. The Assistant Technician is also responsible for driving the airside vehicle and other equipment onsite.
You will make an impact by….
- Execute the work orders as given by the Maintenance Management and Engineers, including:
- Airside work
- Assist in the replacement of broken equipment either on an emergency basis (corrective maintenance) or according to schedule set by Supervisor (preventive maintenance)
- Participates to general custodial maintenance services to ensure acceptable appearance of A-VDGS, GPU’so
- Workshop work
- Performs maintenance works in workshop either when in stand-by service or when under planned maintenance activities
- Disassembly, inspection, part replacement, reassembly and checks of equipment
- Airside work
- This position requires to work in shifts (morning/afternoon/night) according to the schedule defined by the Officers/Engineers.
- Participates to training sessions to maintain the highest level of competencies
- Performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep vehicles, equipment and tools in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking fluid levels, replacing fluids, greasing equipment, washing/cleaning equipment, or cleaning shop/work areas
- Exercises the necessary care and caution in handling and/or operating equipment (MEWP) and tools related to the performance of essential functions and follows airport specific safety policies/practices and adheres to responsibilities concerning safety, prevention, reporting and monitoring.
- Actively contribute to the achievement of SLA contract KPI’s
The talent we want to inspire has...
- 2 to 5 years’ experience in electrical maintenance of facilities in comparable sector (airport)
- Skilled in the use of standard and specialized tools used in this work.
- Heavy Driving License
- Fluency in English, another language is an asset.
- Ability to work on a non-traditional, flexible schedule to include work during evening hours, on weekends and holidays
